We have stayed in many beautiful hotels but Hotel Domestique is our new favorite! The location is beautiful and peaceful. The staff’s attention to detail and customer service exceeds all expectations! Coco, Alex and Rebecca especially made sure our stay and our daughter’s graduation celebration was perfect! We are so very grateful! Can’t wait to visit this unique and tranquil property again.
Just concluded a 3 night stay at Hotel Domestique and was absolutely blown away by the experience! We loved everything about our time at the hotel from the friendly front desk staff (Stephen, Maggie & Rebecca) to the gorgeous scenery. We had the best time at the pool, and the food at Restaurant 17 was phenomenal! So glad we drove a few hours north to have a mini vacation at the foothills of the gorgeous mountains. We stayed in the room 'Dijon' and would definitely request that room again. It was spacious and beautiful. Thank you to the entire staff at the hotel for making this a trip we won't soon forget!
The most beautiful, unique, and clean lodging I have ever experienced. Close enough to town for convenience, but feels like you are a world away as soon as you step foot on the grounds. The staff are amazingly welcoming, and the amenities are plentiful. We were greeted on arrival with glasses of white wine, and a bottle of red wine was provided in the room. Soft drinks, water, teas, coffees, and trail mixes of all types were available in the guest area on each floor complementary. The bedding was luxurious, the bathrooms perfectly clean. The pool was beautiful with plenty of chairs available. The landscaping and views around the grounds are breathtaking. Will definitely be returning.
Hotel Domestique is truly a hidden gem nestled in the Blue Ridge foothills. From the moment you arrive, you're greeted by European-inspired architecture, panoramic mountain views, and a sense of calm luxury that makes it feel like you've been transported to Tuscany. As a wedding photographer, I’ve worked at many venues, but few offer the kind of magic that Hotel Domestique does. The staff is professional, attentive, and genuinely invested in making every detail seamless. They were truly nice when we needed their help. The natural light throughout the property is perfect for portraits, and every corner—whether it’s the vine-covered courtyard, the private balconies, or the scenic overlook—is a dream to photograph. If you're looking for a venue that offers intimacy, elegance, and a one-of-a-kind backdrop for your day, this is it. Hotel Domestique isn’t just a venue—it’s an experience. Quiet getaway that feels like a european B&B - only a dozen rooms, lots of amenities (we loved having the pantry down the hall for a late-night snack), plus incredible views of the foothills and mountains. Even in the dead of summer, once the sun went down sitting outside by the pool was comfortable and relaxing; we will definately be back!
Absolutely recommend! Alex and his team were unbelievably attentive and hospitable. This hotel is beautiful, but the staff is truly the reason I would return. The restaurant has a unique menu, the room was very clean, the turn down service was a nice touch. We did not realize breakfast was included but was a nice surprise and delicious. The afternoon drinks and small plates on the veranda were superb and Anneliese went above and beyond during this in between brunch and dinner time to make sure we didn't go thirsty nor hungry while relaxing. A nice weekend get away from Charlotte without having to fly to Europe.
We loved everything about this hotel! Felt like we were special guests in a fabulous French Villa. Comfortable rooms, so many extra details (fresh flowers, coffee bar, water and snacks available) Restaurant 17 gets five stars across the board. Such a treat breakfast included. Many fun hiking trails nearby and of course great bike routes. Loved the salt water private pool. I could go on. Best part the people working there. Took great care of us. Well done, we hope to return soon!
